My husband was home sick on Monday, having got the flu from me (an early Valentine’s Day gift 😉 ). He got a burst of energy after taking some cold medicine, and was walking around the house, trying to dance, singing LMFAO‘s I’m Sexy and I Know It. It went something like this:
I’m se…*coughing fit* …xy and I *coughing fit* it.
It kind of lost the effect. 😉 Ten minutes later, he was sound asleep on the sofa and I was cruising YouTube.
So, I couldn’t help but laugh when I came across this video on Monday:
OK, I don’t have kids (yet), but I did love Sesame Street when I was a kid. I thought Big Bird was my best friend. My husband and my brother both preferred Cookie Monster. Most people seem to have a favorite character, whether from their own childhood or from that of their children or grandchildren–my Grandma is with me on team Big Bird. 🙂
Did you have a favorite Sesame Street character? Other favorites from childhood? (I loved Strawberry Shortcake.) Are you disappointed that I didn’t get a video of my husband’s rather unsexy performance? 😉
I love it! I can so picture you dancing around, all sick. 🙁 I’m sorry you were sick and hope you’re feeling better!
I loved Strawberry Shortcake too. I drove my parents nuts with the record – they hated the voices! LOL. I didn’t really have a favorite Sesame Street Character. It wasn’t one of my favorite shows. I loved the Smurf though. I had all the figurines and played with them in the bathtub.
Thanks, April! I am feeling much better, hubby is still struggling a bit.
I LOVED the smurfs!! Definitely one of my childhood favs! 🙂
LOL!! Too cute. Yes, I loved Sesame Street .. as did my kids. I can remember when Snuffy was just coming on the street and most everyone thought Big Bird just had an imaginary friend. Ugh .. that was a long time ago! LOL….
When my daughter was young, Sesame Street was just being born. I watched it with her and have to say I loved Miss Piggy and Cookie Monster–but then there weren’t all these other characters back then. Hope you all get better real soon at your house.
I was catching up on reading my friends’ blogs and I saw this post. What a great way to start my Saturday morning! Coffee and some techno-Elmo! LOL! I loved watching Sesame Street when I was a kid and even got to see a live Sesame Street show at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin. Fraggle Rock was also one of my favorites when I was a kid.
